They say great minds think alike which is true with leaders. People who are not naturally inclined toward leadership and who have no leadership experience often get discouraged easily. That's why it's up to leaders to have high belief in them which builds confidence and improves relational skills. People always want to ask are you a follower or a leader, sometimes followers become leaders, so it's ok to be a copy cat depending on who you're copying.
There are 6 common characteristics most leaders share in their thinking:
1. Leaders Think Big- They always look at the big picture, and they know that their success is only as great as their goals.
2. Leaders Think In Terms Of Other People- Leaders don't focus on themselves and their own individual success. They think about the success of the organization and other people.
3. Leaders Think Continually- People who are not leaders are content to sit back and allow others to do the thinking. Leaders are constantly entertaining new ideas, considering new resources, think about improving and managing their time.
4. Leaders Think In Terms Of Intangibles- Leaders are abstract thinkers. They think in terms of intangibles like timing, morale, attitude, momentum and atmosphere.
5. Leaders Think Without Lines- People who are not leaders automatically gravitate towards lines-limitations set by others.
6. Leaders Think Quickly- Leaders size up a situation quickly and then seize it immediately. Leaders are able to do this because they think in terms of the big picture and they do their homework so that they have information to use to help them make decisions quickly.
