Having Vision Creates Opportunity!

Many years ago, a large American shoe manufacturer sent two sales reps out to different parts of the Australian outback to see if they could drum up some business among the aborigines. Some time later, the company received telegrams from both agents. The first one said, "No business here…natives don’t wear shoes." The second one said, "Great opportunity here…natives don’t wear shoes!"

When you have vision, when you start seeing with your mind and not just your eyes, opportunity creates itself. In the Book of Proverbs it is said, "Where there is no vision, the people perish." This is as true in business as it is in life. You have to start seeing beyond your eyesight in order to keep growing and to keep advancing to the next stage in life or your business. True leaders will always see things differently. See for leaders vision isn't just a dream it's reality that hasn't came into existence yet. When you start seeing with your mind, having vision, you begin to develop a new belief system, a new confidence in yourself and business. When this vision is created not only does it inspire you to take action and work harder, it inspires your team, the people around you, which creates opportunity and allows other people to see your vision and be part of it.

What is vision? Because it operates on many levels, vision is difficult to define simply. When we say that a leader has vision, we refer to the ability to see the present as it is and formulate a future that grows out of and improves upon the present. A leader with vision is able to see into the future without being far-sighted and remain rooted in the present without being near-sighted. We also speak of having a vision for an organization, which looks at it from a slightly different perspective. A vision is an idea of the future; it is an image, a strongly felt wish. When it comes to your business vision is essential. Your vision is going to be what drives you everyday to work as hard as you can and be the best you can be. Your vision is not only going to drive you to work hard, but the right vision will drive your team and others around you as well. Moving toward the same goal, individuals work together rather than as disconnected people brought together. Visions excite people by appealing to their emotions, keeping people moving in a positive direction, even when things may be temporarily going bad.

What is YOUR vision? What opportunities have you may have seen with your eyes but not your mind? You may see something everyday that is an opportunity but because you see it with your eyes, you don't know it is an opportunity. Start seeing with vision, the more you see with your mind, the more opportunity you'll be able to take advantage of.
