Becoming A Better YOU!

One way in becoming a better YOU is having a positive attitude with positive thinking. A mind that thinks positive always anticipates a successful outcome which creates a positive attitude. Your self talk or what you say to yourself will determine your attitude. The words we use on others and on ourselves make a dramatic difference in that attitude. The best advice you can listen to is from yourself. What you say to yourself will have a major influence on you and your actions. Your self talk should be filled with passion and excitement, this will in return have a major impact on the way you think and your actions.

Zig Ziglar, an American author, salesman, and great motivational speaker, speaks a lot about having the right mindset, attitude and thought process. Here is some words of wisdom taking from his book "Over The Top":

For years I have been encouraging individuals who are unhappy to change from being faultfinders to being good-finders. You should know that the more you complain about your problems, the more problems you will have to complain about. The constant complainer at home is likely to destroy any hopes for good relationships with his mate and children. The person who is always griping and complaining on the job is the least productive person on the payroll, and when staff reductions take place, he is the first one to be discharged. The person who gains a reputation in the community for griping and complaining is likely to establish friendships and, as a result, has no support system to build on.

So don't complain. Become a good-finder instead by following this approach with your mate, parents or children. List what you like about them, and review the list on a regular basis. The more you emphasize their good qualities, the more good qualities you will find to like or love. As a result, you will treat those family members with more respect, courtesy and appreciation. This procedure improves your chances of having more meaningful relationships and more happiness on the home front--and happiness is an attitude all of us want to have.

This procedure does wonders for the attitude because one of the great truths of life is that the more you recognize and express gratitude for the things you have, the more things you will have to express gratitude for.
