As a kid do you remember playing the board game called LIFE? How many of you could've imagined years later as an adult the significance of that game? They had a commercial for the game that would come on and say "you could be a winner at the game of life". What's interesting about that is the "you could be" part. Being a winner is a choice, it's an attitude, it's in your heart. When you're a person who is a winner, you use different words that average people don't use, you do things that winners do that average people don't do, winners do the things today that average people won't do to have the things tomorrow that average people won't have. Winners don't make excuses, they are decisive, they make a decision and stand by it, they find a way to make things happen. Winners don't be the best they do their best that's why they're winners. Winners have short memories, they forget about yesterdays events, yesterdays obstacles and failures, they move forward with their eyes on the prize. Winners DO, that doing is doing whatever it takes to do their best, that's a winner! Winners rise to the occasion, when it's their time to get in the game, they're ready! Winners attract other winners, people who want to be winners, winners motivate and inspire without even trying because it's just in them, it's their attitude, it's their swag, they're confident, not fearful but fearless.
Another big part of being a winner is being stubborn. The words "quit", "i can't" or "quitting" are not in a winners vocabulary. It's always too early to quit. There's a story of a guy who loved soda, so he went into the soda business, with a product he called 3UP. It failed. So he started again with a soda called 4UP. It failed. So he decided to name his product 5UP and worked just as hard to make it work, but sure enough, it failed again. He realized that he still loved soda, so he tried again with a product named 6UP. It failed, and he gave up completely. Then, a few years later, someone else came up with a soda product and named it 7UP, which became a huge success. If the first guy would've kept on trying and working hard he would have the huge success. The point of the story is winners don't give up. Never give up on your dreams or goals!
Do you have what it takes to be a winner? Do you want to be a winner or do you want to try not to lose? These are important questions to ask yourself. Decide today to be winner, take on the game of LIFE and grow your success as a winner!
