Everyone Has Self-Drive, But What Is YOUR Destination?

Self-Drive, is it in everyone or is it something you have to develop? I believe it is in everyone but more importantly what's your destination? What is driving you to do you best at all times, to make sacrifices for your business, to work hard and go the extra mile for that promotion? Are you the person that has self-drive for the wrong things? Things that are not positive, don't appreciate, don't bring value into your life? Or are you the who's self-drive only kicks in when you're backs against the wall, you dug a whole so deep the only way out is up?

Everyone has self-drive but the key is choosing the right destination. What does that mean? A strong motivating tendency or instinct related to self-preservation, reproduction, or aggression that prompts activity toward a particular end. To be successful in your personal or business life you not only have to be self-driven but you have to have the right destination, a destination that's going to lead you to your unadulterated success. A destination that's going to lead you to accomplishing your goals. See when i look at the words self-drive, i think of a car, i can get in my car right now and know I'm going to the store, to the gas station. I am always going to know my destination when i start my car and put in drive. There would never be a time i get into my car wondering where i am going. Whats your destination? When you start the car inside of you, where are you going? Do you have a destination that is going to motivate you and give you a i won't quit attitude until i reach my destination attitude?

Everyone has self-drive, are you self directed or outside directed? So lets break this down. Self directed, a self directed person is self motivated, ambitious, and they direct themselves. A self directed person is coachable, teachable, this is the type of person i can bring into my business, showing them what to do and they're going to crush it, they have a burning desire inside to be successful. This type of person doesn't require to be micro-managed or that i need to babysit. This person has commitment which separates the doers from the dreamers. Then you have the outside directed person. This type of person has self drive but for the wrong destination. Most of the time this person is not teachable, they always have to be told what to do next, told certain things more than once, they lack initiative. They have potential to be self directed but chances are they never will be. Everyone has self drive, the key is to be self directed with a destination.

Everyone has self-drive, but what's your destination? Stay focused on results. Anytime you concentrate on the difficulty of the work instead of its results or rewards, you're likely to become discouraged. Dwell on it too long, and you'll develop self-pity and lose self drive. To reach that destination you want, don't think of doing whats convenient instead of paying the price, focus on the benefits of doing what's right. A nursery in Canada displays this sign on its wall: "The best time to plant a tree is 25 years ago...The second best time is today." Plant the tree of being self-directed in your life today.
