Increasing Your Awareness

When you learn to become a master of awareness you learn to control your mind. Increasing your awareness gives you complete control of your mind while making you attentive in the right way. What do i mean by that? When you increase your awareness you mind stays focus on the objective at hand, prioritizing your mind is one way to put it. We all have priorities in life but you need to mind your minds priorities. That lintels eliminating distractions, clearing or quieting your mind and exercise.

Distractions play a major role in why certain tasks you have don't get completed and your mind takes control of you. In this day and age there’s no short supply of distractions. You can feel them choking you, strangling you and holding you back. They’re literally murdering any chance you will ever have of being successful. However sometimes it's not whats happening or something that happens that distracts you but what you do after it happens. You can be proactive or you be can reactive. I myself choose to be proactive. One distraction that makes you become reactive is the news. News about how our economy is, terrorism, the world ending and many more. This makes your mind full, makes your mind too loud to focus on the important tasks that need accomplished. Important tasks should come before email. Email is great, great form of communication, but once you start checking email, opening up certain emails, once again your mind gets filled with unproductive thoughts. Facebook and social media sites are awesome tools to build your business but a lot of people get on these sites and loose focus on what they should be really doing. I am guilty myself of sometimes doing these things so the key is staying aware of the important tasks, being proactive. When you wake up in the morning or whenever you wake up, avoid distractions, knock the important tasks out first, this makes you proactive!

I talked earlier about your mind being full, a clear, quiet mind increases your awareness, leaving your mind clear for productive thoughts. I love to listen to music and watch TV sometimes when I'm working. Not only does this become a distraction but I'm now sharing my thoughts with my work and what I'm seeing or hearing. You should have 100% attention to the task at hand so you can be the best at what you're doing. This is why meditation is so important, it allows you to clear your thoughts and empty your mind. You can then begin visualizing what you want to accomplish or where you want to be in life.

Last thing i want to talk about briefly that will in increase your awareness is exercise. Not only is exercising healthy, in humans, exercise improves what scientists call “executive function,” the set of abilities that allows you to select behavior that’s appropriate to the situation, inhibit inappropriate behavior and focus on the job at hand in spite of distractions. So you can be proactive and start exercising now instead of reacting later.

All these things talked about today will increase your awareness. There are many more things that will help besides the things discussed. Start increasing your awareness so you can become more successful in your personal and business life.
